The hydraulic operating lever has been developed for more than 80 years, and its products have been mature. All parts and components have been standardized and serialized. Compared with the manual lever with complex and huge structure, the hydraulic lever is small in size and light in weight, and can realize a wide range of stepless speed regulation, with stable transmission, strong anti-interference ability, and good low-speed performance. However, its efficiency is low, its heat generation is large, and it can not get constant ratio transmission, and there is a hidden danger of leakage, Moreover, the hydraulic oil inside is flammable and explosive, which is contrary to the increasingly strong demand for safety and environmental protection. Therefore, with the development of technology, it is gradually replaced by another kind of joystick, namely industrial handle.
The industrial handle was originally used to control large equipment such as aircraft and ships. In the 1960s, the United States saw the emergence of an aerial work platform. Because the distance between the control platform and the aerial work platform driver (about 50-60m) is far greater than that of general engineering machinery, the hydraulic control lever can not be operated smoothly. Therefore, the aerial work platform adopts the electromechanical integration technology and applies the industrial handle in the control system. By 1985, in order to save energy, many excavator manufacturers began to use electro-hydraulic integrated control systems in large-scale production and excavation. With the popularization of digitalization and the improvement of environmental protection requirements, more and more construction machinery began to use industrial handles. Compared with the hydraulic control lever, the industrial handle can set the safety range, realize remote control and continuous control, and the electric control handle has low requirements for operators, high control accuracy, fast response speed, and linear input and output. Moreover, the electric control handle can output voltage, current or digital signals according to customer requirements, which is easier to apply to intelligent operation. At the same time, with the development of chip technology and the design of electronic control handle, the industrial handle can get rid of the interference of temperature and electromagnetism on the output signal, and the electronic control handle will shine brilliantly in more fields.
